VALR integrates Hyperliquid
VALR, Africa's largest crypto exchange by trading volume, is using Hyperliquid as the onchain infrastructure layer to bring perpetuals to its users.
This marks the first time a centralized exchange has integrated Hyperliquid directly. VALR previously offered perps trading on its own backend. It replaced that infrastructure entirely with Hyperliquid, because it believed doing so would create a better experience for its users. By building on Hyperliquid, VALR can focus on the interface and experience its users trust. Users benefit from Hyperliquid's deep liquidity and onchain transparency without ever leaving the VALR platform.
Powered by builder codes
The integration is made possible by builder codes. Builder codes allow any application to tap into Hyperliquid’s liquidity and charge fees on a per order basis without developing the backend. Similar to AWS for cloud infrastructure, builders own their users, while Hyperliquid provides the underlying liquidity and execution.
By using builder codes, builders compete on distribution and user experience instead of technical infrastructure, while liquidity concentrates in one transparent onchain venue.
